This is a pieces of Reynald Drouhin’s work. It of a landscape which has a section of it that has been flipped around. Like most of his work the flipped part of the image is centred in the middle of the land. All his images are based around images that are very clear and appear very normal.
Drouhin usually makes his images very clear and quite vibrant. In this image you can see a clear contrast between the land and sky. The sky and land both have a 50/50 space in the image allowing the horizon line to really stand out. In the sky you can clearly see all the different light and darker areas creating a more contrast image. The photo would have been taken using a tripod because of how clear and wide the depth of field is. He has digitally edited the flipped part of the image in the photo and would have slightly enhance the landscapes brightness and contrast.
Reynald Drouhin places obscure images in the centre of his work, which is first glance appears normal because of how the horizon line matches up. This flipped image blends with the rest because of the similar colours however also greatly stands out because of the contrast with the sky and land. In his images I feel he is trying to show that there is something beyond the normal that you see. By creating an almost parallel world to our own. All his landscapes appear beautiful and crystal clear however the flipped image makes you wonder whether all is not what it seems.

Edits
These are my edits which have been inspired by Reynald Drouhin's work. However In the flipped part of the image i have overlaid an old image of the three sisters showing how much the land has changed.
Hanging Plan
Development - Abigail Reynolds
Her work is created by mixing together photographs of the same place or monument. The two photographs are taken at the same place but by different photographers. She usually cuts out triangles in one images allowing you to see through to the image underneath. She leaves part of the cut out paper sticking up which gives her image a lot more texture and a more 3D look. Reynolds has a large collections of about 400 London Guidebooks that she uses as her source material. She says that she uses a lot of photographs from the Fifties because they are very well crafter and were taken by serious photographers at a moment when photography was doing well.
